Current Players - New Player Referral Program

Can YOU recite the three rules of Crossroads?

#1: You ALWAYS talk about Crossroads.
#2: You ALWAYS talk about Crossroads.
#3: Don't be a dick.

In an effort to follow #3 ourselves, we want to help you out with this.  Enter our New Player Referral Program.

The Basics

  • All current players have access to referral cards (pretty much like business cards) to hand out to your friends, loved ones, co-workers, grocery bagger, game-store clerk, priest, grandmother - you know, everyone you interact with on a daily basis.
  • When these folks pre-register and pre-pay, they will enter your name on the registration page as the person who referred them.
  • And then you will make out like a bandit!  Well, at least like a player that referred someone brand-new to the game.

The Benefits to You

  • For every new player you refer that PCs their first-ever Alliance event at Crossroads, you will receive a 250-point Gryphon Gift.  Don't know what that is?  Check out this link.
  • You can spend up to 1000 points on Gryphon Gifts in a given weekend, assuring you will heinously mess with plot and do some cool things.
  • Your friend will be taken care of from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave, which means that you don't have to worry about teaching them the game and not playing your own character to the hilt.  We've got it covered, you just have yourself a good time.
  • You will also get hugs, kisses, and maybe even a cookie from a Crossroads staff member (TBD).

The Benefits for your Friend

  • These bright and shiny new PCs will be automatically enrolled in our Wayfarer's Company, led by Senior Encounter Head Justin Coggin.  You can find more information about the Wayfarer's Company here, but suffice it to say they're going to learn how to play the game while having a really good time.
  • They will automatically have a place to sleep at night alongside their teammates, unless they tell us they want to sleep elsewhere.
  • They will receive a sash in team colors with a special emblem, so PCs and NPCs alike know they are a newer player and should be given "the nod" while they're learning how to play.
  • The Wayfarer's Company is now designated as a "plot funnel", which means they will receive modules throughout the weekend tailored specifically to their group to both challenge them at their current player-skill level, and teach them the skills they need to be successful and happy playing Alliance longterm.
  • They WILL have a good time and make new friends without ever feeling like a "tag-along" or idiot newb.

So what are you waiting for?  Let's get the word out about Crossroads, convert more innocent people to our awesome hobby, and have a rocking season!
