Who Are We? - Who are LARPers?

LARPers come from all walks of life, varieties of income levels, ethnic groups, and backgrounds.  There is only one defining characteristic you're guaranteed to find in every single LARPer you meet - an active imagination!

It's completely natural, when considering checking out LARPing for the first time, to wonder about the people you'll be meeting when you show up.  Are they going to be your type of people?  Will they welcome you, or make you feel like an outsider for being new?  Are they all such nerds you can't even relate, or will they be able to hang out both in-character and out-of-character with equal ease?

Within the Alliance Crossroads community you will find that every person has an opportunity to find a niche and meet some of the best friends you never knew you'd find in the woods!

A diverse community of individuals plays Alliance LARP all across the United States; at Alliance Crossroads you will find professionals ranging from Vice Presidents of multi-national corporations to utilities workers and customer service representatives.  Don't think it's all working stiffs, however - you'll find plenty of college students, some retirees and everything else in-between!

Alliance LARP has a nearly 50/50 ratio of men to women, with a combat system that levels the playing field and an emphasis on role-playing and fine storytelling rather than merely the sportive aspects of the game.  When we say something for everybody, we mean it.

The real common thread between LARPers in all walks of life is an active imagination, healthy sense of play, and a desire to contribute to a collective magical experience.  Any person with the desire to come to game and contribute positively will find a sense of belonging and camaraderie unparallelled in most mundane activities.
